Natali was recently accepted to the Texas Game Warden Academy. Being accepted into the academy is a very competitive: about 500 people apply for about 40 positions in the training academy. Natali’s decision to apply for the game warden position came directly from one of the career workshops held in the UTPA REU program. She wrote, “I just wanted to thank you and the REU program for bringing the Game Warden recruiter to visit us specifically when I was in the program. If I was never exposed to that, I probably would have not know or even thought about being a Game Warden.”
